The role emphasizes restorative practices, anti-racism education, and culturally responsive pedagogy, with a commitment to inclusive teaching for multilingual learners, including Spanish-speaking families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant content area.
• Current possessor of a New York State Teaching Certification or willing to enroll and obtain within two years.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Experience with ELL strategies and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Support high academic standards while addressing social-emotional needs of students.
• Collaborate with Principal and SLT to plan and implement instruction.
• Differentiate curriculum to meet diverse learners’ needs.
• Utilize restorative practices and culturally sustaining pedagogy to foster inclusive classrooms.
