Job summary

The role collaborates with families, general educators, paraprofessionals, and related-service providers to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and help students access the grade-level curriculum in an inclusive, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education or eligibility to obtain appropriate certification.
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, differentiated instruction, accommodations, modifications, and behavior support.
• Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and federal requirements.
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students' needs.
• Use assessment and progress-monitoring data to plan instruction and adjust supports.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, interventions, and behavior-support plans.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support access to grade-level curriculum.
• Coordinate services with related-service providers and school staff.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate progress to families.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress data.
