Job summary

The Londonderry School Board is seeking a qualified educator to plan, organize and implement an instructional program that guides students to achieve their academic potential across pre-elementary to high school levels.

The successful candidate will develop lesson plans, establish clear objectives, use technology to support instruction, monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district policies and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Credentials as per NH requirements and district policy.
• Experience with modern instructional technology and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities to facilitate active learning.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Prepare classroom for class activities.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources.
• Identify and select resources and methods to meet diverse needs.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
• Provide feedback on work.
• Encourage and monitor progress of individual students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
• Prepare required reports on students and activities.
• Manage student behavior by enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with school policy.
• Apply disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Perform pastoral duties including student support and counseling.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and meetings.
• Communicate information regularly to students, colleagues and parents.
• Keep updated with developments in subject area and teaching methods.
