Job summary

TRENTON BOARD OF EDUCATION in Holland Middle School seeks an ESL Teacher for the upcoming 10‑month school year. This full-time position reports to the building principal and offers a salary range of $71,525 to $117,475 annually.

The successful candidate will develop instructional plans, maintain a supportive classroom environment, align lessons with curriculum goals, and collaborate with colleagues and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey Teacher Certification or eligibility for appropriate certification.
• All certificated positions require a valid certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE). Applicants must upload proof of the appropriate certification for the position they are applying for at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements written instructional plans that meet the diverse needs, abilities, and interests of all students.
• Creates and maintains a classroom environment that supports learning and is developmentally appropriate.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives aligned with those goals.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the district's philosophy of education and its instructional goals and objectives through instructional practices and professional conduct.
• Establishes and maintains positive, cooperative relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
• Performs other duties and assumes additional responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.
