Job summary

Bethel Park School District is seeking a Middle School Cheerleading Assistant Coach at Independence Middle School. The role involves teaching fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training to cheer athletes while demonstrating leadership, discipline, and character development.

Qualifications

• Must be able to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Must have previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
• Must possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of cheerleading and stay updated on theories and procedures.
• Must serve as a positive role model for student athletes through actions and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Bethel Park Schools' athletic policies.
• Know and apply applicable system, state and league regulations.
• Follow proper administrative lines of command and use appropriate channels for requests.
• Design and conduct staff conferences, clinics and meetings to ensure program awareness.
• Train staff and promote professional growth through clinic attendance.
• Delegate duties, supervise implementation and evaluate staff effectiveness.
• Maintain discipline, handle grievances and foster morale and cooperation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the athletic director/principal.
