Job summary

Irvington Board Of Education seeks dedicated Middle School and High School Special Education Teachers in Irvington, NJ. This full-time, in-person role focuses on delivering individualized instruction aligned with IEPs and supporting students with disabilities academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will work with general education teachers, service providers, families, and administrators to ensure inclusive, supportive classrooms and meaningful progress for every student.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with disabilities and IEPs.
• Strong instructional practices for middle and high school students with diverse learning needs.
• Ability to differentiate instruction, provide accommodations, and implement behavioral supports.
• Strong communication and collaboration with families, colleagues, and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs and IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Implement instructional and behavioral strategies to support success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families regularly.
