Qualifications

  • Eligible for a valid Georgia teaching certificate (4-8).
  • Experience with Middle Grades English Language Arts preferred.
  • Ability to manage a classroom and engage diverse learners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet Georgia’s English Language Arts standards and align with the district’s approved curriculum.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students.
  • Deliver engaging ELA lessons and activities in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Assess students’ understanding and mastery through tests, quizzes, essays, projects, and observations.
  • Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about student progress.
  • Engage in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
