Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking Personal Care Aides to provide essential in-home support to clients, following individualized care plans and ensuring safety and dignity. You will assist with basic personal care and daily tasks while promoting independence and infection control.

Responsibilities include documenting care tasks, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and reporting safety concerns or changes in client condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• 6 months of verifiable caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong communication, attention to safety, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow client’s aide plan tasks and complete daily documentation via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation, feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers using appropriate equipment.
• Encourage clients' self-help and independence while maintaining safety precautions and infection control protocols.
• Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report any safety concerns or changes in client condition.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, providing quality care within scope of practice.
• Assist with self-administration of medications, but do not administer medications directly.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe living conditions immediately.
