Job summary

The Kingdom East Unified Union School District, Student Services, is seeking a full-time Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA) to support students with disabilities in the Millers Run School, Sheffield, Vermont. The IIA will develop and interpret individual needs, assist with behavior and instructional programs, and collect data to meet IEP/EST goals under supervision of the special educator and teachers.

Candidates must complete the ParaPro assessment or possess a higher degree.

Qualifications

• ParaPro assessment completed or higher degree required.
• Background check including fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping create and implement behavior/instructional support programs in consultation with the special educator and teachers.
• Provide observable student data that meet IEP/EST goals for students with disabilities.
• Help students access instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner.
