The Kingdom East Unified Union School District, Student Services, is seeking a full-time Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA) to support students with disabilities in the Millers Run School, Sheffield, Vermont. The IIA will develop and interpret individual needs, assist with behavior and instructional programs, and collect data to meet IEP/EST goals under supervision of the special educator and teachers.

Candidates must complete the ParaPro assessment or possess a higher degree.

Qualifications

ParaPro assessment completed or higher degree required.
Background check including fingerprinting required.

Job Description

The Kingdom East School District, Student Services, is seeking a full time Intensive Instructional Assistant (IIA). The IIA position's purpose is to develop and interpret individual needs of students with disabilities by helping to create and implement behavior and/or instructional support programs in consultation with the special educator and teachers. Currently this assignment will be at the Millers Run School and is based on student needs. The IIA provides observable student data that meet the IEP Program or EST goals of students with disabilities. This position will target goal-directive services to assist students in accessing instruction in a developmentally appropriate, functional and independent manner. Candidates must successfully complete the ParaPro assessment or higher degree. Background check, including fingerprinting required upon employment. The pay range for this position is $20.85/hr.-$26.96/hr.

Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
