Job summary

Kelly Services in Reading, PA is seeking dedicated Elementary Special Needs Building Substitutes to support self-contained classrooms for kindergarten through 2nd grade (ages 5-8). You will help implement lesson plans, manage routines, and support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Substitute certification is not required.
• Ability to work effectively with young children with special needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students in self-contained special education classrooms serving 8-10 students (typically 8).
• Follow established classroom schedules and daily routines.
• Implement teacher lesson plans and instructional activities as provided.
• Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
• Implement behavior support plans, accommodations, and modifications outlined in student IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Assist with transitions, classroom activities, and other duties as assigned.
