Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Guides learning toward district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives for lessons and projects.
• Prepares for classes with written evidence of preparation when required by supervisor.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Diagnoses learning challenges and seeks district specialists as needed.
• Protects students, equipment, and facilities through safety precautions.
• Participates in professional development and teacher evaluation processes.
• Attends district meetings and school activities as part of contract requirements.

Education

Massachusetts teaching license (PreK-8)

Bachelor's degree with appropriate license
