Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an EIRI Tutor to provide targeted reading interventions for students in grades K-3. You will work in a small group setting and collaborate with the Literacy Specialist to support progress.

The role emphasizes differentiation in reading, writing and spelling, with regular feedback on student progress. A Bachelor's Degree and/or Virginia teaching license are preferred, and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of literacy and school policies.
• Ability to tutor and supervise students in disciplinary settings.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct literacy support for Grades K-3 in small groups.
• Collaborates with Literacy Specialist to develop support models.
• Supports differentiation in reading, writing, and spelling.
• Gives feedback on student progress to Literacy Specialist.
• Teaches explicit literacy skills to improve outcomes.
