Job summary

Horizon House, Inc. in Lansdale, PA is seeking a Full-Time Direct Support Professional to work in our Developmental Services Division. You will support developmentally disabled individuals in daily living skills, personal care, and community integration within a residential setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, PA driver’s license, and the ability to document activities electronically. Certification in medication administration is preferred, with a commitment to safety and

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and at least 2 year’s prior experience in MH/IDD or equivalent combination.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to use a computer and document daily activities electronically.
Must possess a valid PA driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Encourage, guide and train developmentally disabled individuals in daily living skills and personal care.
Support community integration and ensure health and safety in a residential setting.
Maintain daily activity documentation using a computer system.
Assist with medication administration as certified and respond to emergencies as needed.
