Job summary

AABR in Bronx, NY is seeking a Residential Direct Support Professional to work part-time with individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assess needs and provide supportive, person-centered care in a home-like setting.

You will help with daily living tasks, encourage independence, track progress, and report findings. The role requires high school diploma, compassionate demeanor, and ability to stand and be active. Background checks and required certifications are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
• Flexible with stress and daily demands.
• Friendly, positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate and able to document needs and progress.
• Experience tracking and recording information preferred.
• Passionate about helping individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to stand and perform physically demanding tasks for long periods.
• Background checks required and completion of Orientation Training.
• Current SCIP, CPR/First Aid and AMAP certifications for full-time position.
• Current SCIP, CPR & First Aid certifications for part-time position.
