Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will provide person-centered care, encourage independence, and ensure safety and dignity in every interaction.

The role includes supporting daily living activities, transportation to appointments, and adherence to HIPAA standards. A valid license, own AWD/4WD vehicle, and ability to drive in mountain winters are required.

Qualifications

• BSPs knowledge and home care practices.
• Ability to assist individuals with mobility and personal care needs.
• Proficient in tracking goals and applying support strategies.
• Understanding of individual rights and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on support with daily living activities and mobility.
• Foster independence and community involvement for individuals with disabilities.
• Implement and adapt individualized care plans (BSP).
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment protecting rights and well-being.
• Provide transportation to medical, therapy, and community appointments.
