Job summary

YAI is seeking a Direct Support Professional to supervise and support individuals with complex needs in a structured setting. You will implement behavior support plans, ensure health and safety, assist with daily living activities, and manage documentation with HIPAA-compliant practices.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to respond to crisis situations. Training and certifications such as RBT/CPR may be required, with emphasis on person-centered, trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Basic written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills – including email and Workday.
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to meet essential physical demands (lifting, standing, walking).

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision and safety of individuals in various settings.
• Implement individualized service plans and behavior support plans.
• Ensure health, wellness and crisis management according to policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist with ADLs and personal care as appropriate.
• Transport individuals for activities and appointments, and manage funds as needed.
• Maintain required documentation and health records.
