Job summary

Delta-T Group Virginia, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Vienna, VA to provide care in residential settings. You will communicate with families and care teams, assist with daily living tasks, meals, and transportation, and participate in training and staff meetings. Compliance with VOAC and monitoring rules is required.

Responsibilities include documenting care, following menus and diet protocols, and supporting clients in developing living skills in a community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months to one year of Direct Support Professional or similar experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a residential setting.
• Communicate with families, IDT members, day programs, and other providers of services.
• Instruct, support, and participate in household tasks including light housekeeping and meals.
• Assist in developing daily living skills and health care needs.
• Transport individuals and/or provide mobility training to attend appointments and activities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings and ensure compliance with program requirements.
