Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Greater Nebraska is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide training, assistance and support to individuals in vocational, community and in-home settings. You will help with planning, document in Therap, assist with mobility and transportation, promote inclusion, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment while upholding Goodwill policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 19 years of age, and a Nebraska driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license issued in Nebraska and meets insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide information for assessments of individual’s strengths and needs.
• Assist with program planning to set services, goals and objectives.
• Provide training and support per Person-Centered Plan.
• Offer ongoing support in vocational and community settings.
• Maintain safety standards for individuals in the program.
• Complete documentation in Therap within required timeframes.
• Assist with mobility of individuals and transfer assistance.
• Promote inclusion and a positive image in the community.
• Maintain professional environment at vocational sites and adhere to policies.
• Provide transportation as assigned.
• Demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance.
