Job summary

Goodwill Industries Of Greater Nebraska Hastings Services in Hastings, NE, seeks a Full-Time Developmental Disability Services aide to train, assist and support individuals in vocational, community, and in-home settings.

You will gather information for assessments, participate in person-centered planning, and provide ongoing support while maintaining safety and complete timely documentation. The role emphasizes inclusion and professional conduct in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience/knowledge of rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide information for assessments of individual’s strengths and areas of need.
• Provide information to assist the individual program planning team to establish services, goals and objectives to meet each person’s needs and personal goals.
• Provide training and support as determined by the Individual’s Person-Centered Plan.
• Provide on-going support and assistance to individuals in vocational and community settings.
• Maintain standards of safety for individuals while participating in the program.
• Maintain all needed documentation and records, including Therap within the required time frame.
• Assist with mobility of individuals including loading/unloading wheelchairs in vehicles and operating lifts to aid in the transfer of individuals.
• Promote inclusion of individuals in the community.
