Job summary

Easterseals Midwest is seeking a Community Living Specialist in Bolivar, MO to help individuals with disabilities thrive in their homes and community. You will provide daily supports, education, advocacy, and ensure compliance with ISP goals and funding requirements.

The role is full-time with 12-hour shifts, offers job training, potential overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience providing direct supports to individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to work with a variety of computer systems.
• Driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and implements activities related to Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and works towards plan outcomes and objectives.
• Provides education, assistance, mentoring and support to individuals in daily living activities.
• Assists with community outings and social opportunities.
• Administers medications and provides medical care and supports according to orders; documents changes.
• Provides positive behavioral interventions as outlined in plans.
• Attends required staff meetings and ongoing education and training.
