Job summary

Easterseals is seeking a dedicated Community Living Specialist to join our Springfield, MO team. You will work with individuals with disabilities to support their daily living and community participation, following ISPs and funding guidelines.

The role offers full-time day or overnight shifts, 12-hour shifts, ongoing training, and a benefits package including PTO and retirement. Experience preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience providing direct supports to individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to work with a variety of computer systems.
• Driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and implements activities related to ISP and works toward plan outcomes and objectives. Documents as required and ensures funder and accreditation requirements are met.
• Provides education, assistance, mentoring and support for daily living tasks (bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, etc.).
• Assists individuals during community outings and social opportunities with education and modeling of positive behaviors.
• Administers medications and provides medical care and supports per physician orders and RN delegations; notifies team of health changes.
• Attends required staff meetings and ongoing education and training.
