Job summary

The United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) is seeking a Community Integration Specialist (CIS) / Medical Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with IDD live meaningful, self-directed lives under the Program Manager. You will provide direct support, teaching, coaching, and facilitation aligned with PCPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain it within the timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supervision and instruction to promote independence and PCP goals.
• Develop and facilitate learning, social, and community activities.
• Provide personal care and daily living assistance, including mobility and hygiene.
• Implement PCPs and non-aversive behavior support; support health care plans.
• Assist with medication administration under authorized direction and policy.
• Complete timely progress notes, incident reports, and medical documentation.
• Observe changes in health, behavior, safety; report promptly.
• Protect rights, privacy, and confidentiality; maintain attendance and training.
• Provide direct care to other programs as needed.
