Job summary

Tri-County Special Education Association seeks a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students and staff in the Hartsburg-Emden School District. This role assists teachers by working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional material and encourage positive participation throughout the school day.

You will provide behavioral support, supervise unstructured times such as lunch and recess, help students with personal needs, and communicate effectively with families

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Illinois Paraprofessional License preferred or in process.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers by working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional material.
• Provide behavior support and positive reinforcement to students.
• Supervise and engage students during unstructured times such as lunch, recess, or transitions.
• Support students with physical or personal needs as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies; communicate with staff and families as needed.
