Job summary

A Second Chance is seeking a Child and Family Services Caseworker in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time, non-exempt role provides emergency and temporary care services, prepares reports, and coordinates with Allegheny County Children and Youth Services.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma (Bachelor’s in Social Work preferred), excellent written and verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills. A PA driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Caseload of approximately 15–17 cases; varies by agency needs.
• Provide emergency/temporary care services, including planning, crisis intervention, placement and monitoring, and transportation.
• Work on-call hours as directed.
• Interface with providers to plan meetings and coordinate services.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and other required agency reports.
• Adhere to agency policies and procedures.
