Job summary

Basehor-Linwood School District Early Learning Center is seeking a Child Care Assistant Teacher to support a developmentally appropriate program for preschool-age children. You will work with the lead teacher to implement research-based curriculum and ensure safety and positive interactions with children and families.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Five observation sessions in licensed preschools or centers; 1 year teaching experience or practicum.
• Three months of practicum or one year supervised experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily classroom activities.
• Assist lead teacher with development of age-appropriate curriculum.
• Ensure adherence to state regulations for child care.
• Maintain safe, inviting classroom environment and report needs to lead teacher.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff.
