Job summary

Community Resources for Independence (CRI) in Troy seeks caring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Personal Care Assistant (PCA) caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

As a DSP or PCA you will assist with daily tasks, accompany clients to appointments and activities, and learn through paid training. CRI offers flexible schedules, ongoing coaching, and a supportive team to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Pass a variety of background checks and clearances.
• Availability to work every other weekend, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with light housekeeping, meals, and personal care tasks.
• Get paid to join clients on walks and community activities.
• Join clients for appointments, shopping, or other errands as needed.
• Help empower people to live independently and be part of the community.
• Support IDD clients in reaching goals outlined in their Service Plan.
• Facilitate community integration and skill-building activities.
