Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ seeks a clinician to provide counseling and case management within the Behavioral Health department. You will engage clients in treatment, develop assessment and treatment plans, and assist them in obtaining entitlements and community resources.

Responsibilities include outreach to clients who are ambivalent about services or who miss appointments, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and wellness.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation or related field.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; licensure as CSW by NJ preferred.
• Ability to counsel and educate consumers and families; resolve problems with basic mental health knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record per SJH policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and case management services within Behavioral Health.
• Engage clients using counseling techniques to support treatment.
• Assist clients in obtaining entitlements and linking to community resources.
• Outreach to clients ambivalent about services or who miss appointments.
