Treasure Valley Family YMCA's Hillsdale Y Kids seeks a Before School Teacher to promote child development within a teaching team, supporting diverse needs and family interests. The role emphasizes safety, active supervision, and relationship-building with children.

The position is part-time (about 10 hours/week) with schedule 6:45am–9:15am, Monday to Friday. Pay ranges from $15.45 to $19.31 per hour, with licensure and CPR/First Aid prerequisites upon hire.

Qualificações

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year working with children preferred.
• Ability to engage others and make all people feel welcome.
• Respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Create an environment that fosters safety through active supervision and by role modeling safe behavior.
• Nurture children through programs focused on relationships, achievement, and belonging.
• Develop relationships and maintain daily communication with participants and parents using the Y voice attributes.
• Implement the established curriculum to achieve the program goals.
• Use positive behavior guidance to support children's development and behavior.
• Ensure health and safety of participants, families, staff, and volunteers according to Leading Practices.
