Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health in American Fork, UT is seeking a Part-Time Human Service Worker for our Vantage Point North youth crisis shelter. You will provide direct support, supervision, and guidance to youth ages 10–17 facing family conflict, emotional distress, mental health concerns, trauma, housing instability, or other crises.

The role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, meaningful setting, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded in challenging situations.
• Background check required per WBH hiring standards.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support and supervision to program participants.
• Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines.
• Assist with crisis intervention and maintain a safe environment.
• Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other team members.
• Model positive behavior and healthy coping strategies.
