The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with NYS teaching certification preferred and a Master’s degree preferred, with 2+ years of classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• New York State Teaching Certification preferred.
• Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
• Classroom teaching experience required; at least 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver science instruction to middle school students.
• Create engaging unit and lesson plans aligned to curriculum.
• Administer and grade assessments and analyze data to inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate student records and communications with families.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture and restorative practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels.
• Attend meetings, participate in PD, and support student safety.
