Job summary

Clare Public Schools is seeking a part-time Track & Field coach to develop and implement training plans for middle school athletes. You will work closely with high school coaches to teach fundamentals, design schedules, and promote sportsmanship and safety among CPS students.

Must have First Aid and CPR certifications before the 2027 season and pass a background check as part of eligibility. This role involves on-site coaching and collaboration with the athletics staff.

Qualifications

• Background in Track & Field
• Fundamentals of field events and running
• Ability to design short/long term practice goals
• Work with HS coaches and follow the Varsity Track program guidance
• Model appropriate behavior and CPS student-athlete well-being
• First Aid and CPR certification prior to 2027 season
• Pass background check

Responsibilities

• Design daily and weekly practice schedules with clear goals
• Co-teach and support HS coaches during home meets
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and administration
