Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred.
• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and health screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with developmental or physical disabilities.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments, activities, and outings.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Administer medications and follow health and safety protocols as directed.
• Foster independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.
