Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Heartland in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an Employment Support Specialist / Job Coach to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain meaningful employment across the St. Louis metro area.

This full-time, non-exempt role involves hands-on coaching at community worksites and close collaboration with employers, families, and VR counselors. You will support up to 25 individuals, conduct training, document progress, and build natural supports in the workplace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work in a variety of community settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Creative problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass Family Care Safety Registry screening
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle driving record check
• Employment contingent upon background checks and reference verification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for up to 8 hours
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds using proper lifting and transfer techniques
