Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a part-time Employment Specialist in Montgomery County, PA to coach individuals with developmental disabilities and assist in job placement. Starting pay is $19.60 per hour.

You will help participants develop essential job skills, prepare them for employment, and support successful placements in competitive work environments while ensuring compliance with background checks and licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required.
• Background checks including criminal, central registry, child abuse registry and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to place people with disabilities in competitive employment.
• Coach individuals to develop independent job skills.
• Work alongside individuals at job sites.
• Help with resume writing, interviewing, and job applications.

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.

We are now hiring apart-time Employment Specialist in Montgomery County, PA to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment. The Employment Specialist will develop essential job skills for persons with disabilities and assist in job placement.

Starting pay is $19.60/per hour

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.
• Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.
• Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.
• Reinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
