Job summary

Empac Group, Inc. seeks an Employment Specialist to tailor employment services to clients' abilities, skills, and interests.

The role covers job readiness, job development, placement, on-site training, and job-retention support to ensure client success. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred), 2–4 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Class E Chauffeur’s License within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of work experience in a related field is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license at time of application and obtain a Class E Chauffeur’s License within 30 days of hire. Must maintain safe driving record.

The Employment Specialist tailors employment services based on a person’s unique abilities, skills, and career interests. The ES conducts job readiness and exploration activities, job development, placement, on-site job training and/or job-retention support and services for our clients to provide person-centered customized employment services. The ES participates in the development of vocational interest; provides one-on-one training for supported individuals on his/her competitive job; maintains accurate and timely documentation of client progress with clear communication to immediate supervisor; to assure training effectiveness; responsiveness, performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ES will have skill in work site analysis including the ability to identify opportunities for job restructuring and other techniques to accommodate the needs of a person with a disability. They will also have experience and skill in sales and marketing with the goal of developing positive relationships with employers to create a positive impression of supported employment in the community.
