Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Employment Specialist in Phoenix, AZ to coach individuals with developmental disabilities and prepare them for integrated employment. The role focuses on developing job skills and assisting with placement, with hands-on support at job sites.

You will help clients build resumes, practice interviews, complete applications, and maintain accurate documentation. A high school diploma, two years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license are

• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background checks (criminal, central registry, child abuse registry) and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.
• Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.
• Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.
• Reinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Minimum Requirements
