The Employment Specialist (ES) will play a vital role in supporting homeless and at-risk veterans in Denver Colorado by providing individualized employment services, training support, and barrier removal assistance. This position is part of the HVRP initiative, which aims to reintegrate veterans into the workforce and promote long‑term self‑sufficiency through employment and supportive services.

Manages an active caseload of up to up to 40 individuals completing each milestone for intake, job development/placement, completion of training goals, stabilization, and successful closure.
Have a 70% job placement rate among enrolled participants. Meet participants weekly, providing job readiness training, basic technology literacy, and financial literacy while guiding them through the job search process. Assist participants navigate concrete and social issues that may impede their ability to work. Conduct comprehensive intake of assessments to evaluate participants’ skills, experience, interests, barriers, and support needs. Develop individualized plans for employment (IPEs) with clear, measurable goals. Identify vocational strengths and transferable skills. Assist participants in setting realistic short- and long‑term employment objectives. Build and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities. Complete in an accurate & timely manner case notes for all participant interactions.

The work environment will be a combination of being in a temperature-controlled office environment and out in the field in Colorado weather.
