HeartShare is seeking an experienced Employment Services Manager to lead OPWDD Supported Employment Programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise Job Coaches and employment staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with families, care managers, and community partners to support meaningful, competitive employment outcomes.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience in human services or related field.

HeartShare is seeking an experienced and passionate Employment Services Manager to lead our OPWDD Supported Employment Programs. This role is responsible for overseeing employment services that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve and maintain meaningful, competitive employment opportunities.The Employment Services Manager provides leadership and supervision to Job Coaches and Supported Employment staff, ensures compliance with OPWDD and Medicaid regulations, and collaborates with employers, families, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams to support successful employment outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is committed to person-centered services, staff development, community engagement, and continuous improvement in program performance and quality outcomes.Program Leadership & Staff SupervisionSupervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate Job Coaches, and employment staff.Conduct regular field observations at community employment sites.Complete probationary, annual, and corrective performance evaluations.Develop staff schedules and community coverage plans.Ensure staff compliance with agency policies, OPWDD regulations, dress code, attendance expectations, and professional standards.Lead team meetings, case reviews, and employment strategy discussions.Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.Employment Services OversightOversee employment supports for individuals participating in SEMP and related employment services.Ensure employment services align with individual interests, strengths, preferences, and career goals.Review vocational assessments and employment plans.Monitor job development, placement, retention, and advancement activities.Support staff in implementing evidence-based employment support strategies.Ensure individuals receive meaningful opportunities for competitive integrated employment.Assist individuals in developing workplace readiness, communication, self-advocacy, and independent employment skills.Oversee travel training and community-based employment supports.Employer & Community Partnership DevelopmentDevelop and maintain relationships with local businesses, employers, workforce agencies, and community partners.Identify and cultivate new employment opportunities.Educate employers regarding disability inclusion, workplace accommodations, and supported employment practices.Respond proactively to employer concerns and support successful job retention.Represent Heartshare at workforce development events, community meetings, and networking opportunities.Person-Centered Planning & OutcomesEnsure employment goals align with Life Plans, Staff Action Plans, and valued outcomes.Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and planning sessions.Monitor progress toward employment goals and ensure timely updates.Ensure service delivery reflects person-centered practices and informed choice.Collaborate with families, care managers, residential providers, and other stakeholders.Regulatory Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with:OPWDD regulationsMedicaid documentation standardsCorporate Compliance requirementsJustice Center requirementsHIPAA regulationsAgency policies and proceduresReview documentation for quality, accuracy, timeliness, and billing compliance.Conduct routine audits of service documentation.Monitor staff completion of required trainings and certifications.Ensure completion of all OPWDD-required reporting and documentation.Documentation, Billing & ReportingReview and approve documentation, billing submissions, and service records.Monitor monthly productivity and service utilization.Ensure timely completion of:Progress NotesMonthly SummariesStaff Action PlansLife Plan DocumentationLevel of Service DocumentationPlan Dissemination RecordsSatisfaction SurveysRequired OPWDD ReportsMaintain accurate employment outcome data and program metrics.Analyze employment trends and identify opportunities for program improvement.Prepare reports for leadership as requested.Incident Management & SafeguardingEnsure the health, safety, rights, and well-being of all individuals served.Respond to incidents, allegations, and emergencies in accordance with agency and regulatory requirements.Ensure timely incident reporting and documentation.Implement safeguards and corrective actions as required.Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centered support.Associate's degree or equivalent.
