Job summary

SR Staffing is seeking two Employment Litigation Attorneys to join a midsize Chicago law firm specializing in employment defense. This role requires 3–10 years' experience, trial involvement, and ability to defend against discrimination and wage-hour claims.

Starting in the office with later remote flexibility, the team provides mentorship, annual reviews, and a pension plan; compensation ranges from $185,000 to $225,000 base plus bonuses, with a strong billable hour requirement.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years' experience as an attorney with a focus on employment litigation.
• Defending against discrimination claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, IHRA, IWA, and similar claims.
• Defending against wage and hour and other class action claims under FLSA, IMWL, IWPCA, and BIPA.
• Defending and/or prosecuting trade secret violations and breaches of confidentiality, non-compete, and non-solicitation agreements
• Trial experience

• Practice area focus: employment litigation (defense)


• Compensation: $185,000 - $225,000 base plus bonuses (base depends on years of experience)


• Billable hour requirement: 1850

Qualifications - must have

• 3-10 years' experience as an attorney with a focus on employment litigation


• Defending against discrimination claims under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, IHRA, IWA, and similar common law claims.

• Trial experience

Preferred, not required:

• Admission to the Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.


• Trial experience (first or second chair) and/or experience presenting witnesses at trials, hearings, arbitrations, or similar proceedings in employment law matters.


• Appellate experience in employment law cases, including briefing and/or oral argument.
