Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting an Employment Associate Attorney for a Chicago-based Am Law 50 opportunity. You will handle sophisticated employment litigation, counseling, and workplace matters for major corporate clients in a hybrid, Chicago-based setting.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of labor and employment experience at a top firm, represents employers in complex disputes, and holds a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school with Illinois bar admission (or eligibility).

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of labor and employment experience at a sophisticated law firm.
• Experience representing employers in complex employment disputes.
• Experience with discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions and managing sophisticated discovery.
• Experience counseling employers regarding workplace policies, employee relations, terminations, investigations, and employment compliance.
• Experience with internal workplace investigations is a plus.

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Employment Associate Attorney opportunity with a leading Am Law 50 firm in Chicago.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated employment litigation, counseling, and workplace matters for major corporate clients.

Ideal Background

• 3–6 years of labor and employment experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
• Experience representing employers in complex employment disputes
• Experience with matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, and other workplace disputes
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Experience conducting and defending depositions and managing sophisticated discovery
• Experience counseling employers regarding workplace policies, employee relations, terminations, investigations, and employment compliance
• Experience with internal workplace investigations is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
