Job summary

DNA Partners, a well-established national law firm, seeks an Employment Litigation Associate for its Long Beach office. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of labor and employment experience, enjoys counseling employers, and handles sophisticated workplace matters with a world-class litigation team.

Qualifications

Admitted to the California Bar in good standing.
2–5 years of labor and employment experience, including litigation and counseling.
Strong legal writing, research, analytical and advocacy skills.
Experience advising employers on compliance with federal, state and local employment laws.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Advise employers on workplace issues including wage/hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leave laws and evolving regulations.
Represent management in federal/state court litigation, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
Defend employers in wage/hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination and breach of agreements.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other litigation filings, including dispositive motions.
Conduct legal research, manage discovery, prepare witnesses, participate in depositions.
