A law firm in Torrance, CA is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with a strong background in employment law and litigation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in defending wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions, and handling investigations before various federal and state agencies. The candidate should also be proficient in employment litigation in both federal and state courts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation matters in federal and state courts.
  • Defend wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions, across federal and state jurisdictions.
  • Handle investigations and enforcement actions before the U.S. Department of Labor, California Department of Industrial Relations, California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC, and other state and local human rights agencies.
  • Appear before the National Labor Relations Board for issues related to union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, union elections, and arbitrations.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategy for clients on employment law issues, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, and harassment claims.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage case files, conduct legal research, and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to resolve disputes effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Proven experience in defending federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle investigations and enforcement actions before relevant federal and state agencies.
  • Experience in representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board in various labor-related matters.
  • Proficient in managing employment litigation cases in both federal and state courts.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
