Aecon Concessions seeks a Legal Counsel, Employment Law to advise leaders, HR and operations across the United States, with a New Jersey base. The role emphasizes compliance, investigations, employee relations, and policy development in a complex, project-based workforce.

The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor, be admitted to the New Jersey Bar, and bring 4+ years of employment law experience, with a preference for construction/infrastructure exposure.

Qualifications

• Our JD is from an ABA-accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
• Experience advising on multi-state employment law and investigations.
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely employment law advice to leaders, HR, and operations across the U.S.
• Support compliance, investigations, employee relations, and policy development.
• Manage workforce risk, terminations, leaves, and wage-and-hour matters.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and manage litigation and agency matters.
