Job summary

Family & Children's Services is seeking an Employment and Education Specialist to deliver IPS-based services, supporting individuals in community-based jobs and school placement. The role includes job development, interview skills training, and ongoing follow-along support, working closely with employers and academic staff.

Under supervision, you will apply evidence-based approaches, understanding co-occurring disorders, to promote client recovery and community integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services field preferred.
• Case Management Certificate required.
• Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with mental illnesses and/or substance use issues and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized services to consumers: community based services, job and/or school search, job development and placement, school development, interview skills training, follow-along support for jobs and school, collaboration with consumers’ employers and/or academic personnel.
• Build relationships with area employers and provide related case management needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions.

Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team! CCBHC Model of Care

Family & Children’s Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by innovative, team-based approach and whole person care for adults and children with a range of complex mental health and substance use challenges.
