Qualifications

• Experience in employment litigation or transferable litigation background.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with California employment law.
• Experience with discovery and motion practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine interest in employer-side employment litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment-related disputes.
• Handle discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage-and-hour matters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses and substantive motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Conduct employment law research and prepare legal memoranda.
• Participate in hearings, mediations and trial preparation.
• Contribute to litigation strategies and provide practical client advice.
• Maintain accurate billable-time records and manage case deadlines.
