Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services in Virginia seeks a vocational services professional to enhance employability for individuals with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders, guiding them toward competitive community employment.

The role includes job development, ongoing client support, education and training, coordination with the Department of Rehabilitative Services, and creating opportunities for supported employment or volunteer work. Other duties may apply.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or related degree.
• Must meet Medicaid requirements for Qualified Mental Health Provider.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Fingerprints, state and FBI background checks and drug test may be required.

• Provides job development services and ongoing support to job seekers and employed individuals.
• Assists with pursuing education and training and coordinates assessment and work adjustment activities with the Department of Rehabilitative Services.
• Develops opportunities for supported employment and/or volunteer work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, sociology, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or other approved Human Services degree

Certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner in Virginia

Responsibilities

Provides various vocational services for the purpose of enhancing the employability of individuals with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders whose ultimate goal is to enhance his/her recovery through competitive employment in community work settings; provides job development services; provides ongoing support to individuals who are actively seeking employment or have been hired in the community; assists individuals in pursuing education and training; and coordinates assessment and work adjustment activities with the Department of Rehabilitative Services; develops opportunities for supported employment and/or volunteer work. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• M1: Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, sociology, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or other approved Human Services degree
• OR Certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner in Virginia
• M2: One year of clinical experience within the past seven years providing mental health services
• M3: Must meet Medicaid requirements for Qualified Mental Health Provider
• M4: Valid drivers license and safe driving record
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE

$44,825 - $77,617

5% Increase for Qualified Mental Health Professional
