Sony Music Publishing in New York City is seeking an Employment Counsel to serve as the senior legal authority on employment and labor matters worldwide. This role partners with People Experience and leadership to ensure compliant, values-driven workforce practices across jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate has a JD with 10+ years of employment law experience, including senior in-house or top-tier firm work; US-focused expertise and global labor framework familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• JD with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience, including senior in-house and/or top-tier law firm experience.
• Litigation experience preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise executive leadership and People Experience on global employment law strategy and risk management.
• Lead and oversee employment-related matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage investigations, litigation, and outside counsel.
• Develop global employment policies balancing compliance with business priorities.
