Talently is seeking an experienced in-house employment attorney to join our legal team. The role involves close collaboration with HR and business leadership across a multi-state organization to provide practical guidance on workplace matters.

The attorney will handle day-to-day employment issues and workforce initiatives, draft and review policies, advise on wage and hour, leaves, accommodations, investigations, terminations, and help minimize legal risk while supporting hourly workers.

Qualifications

  • J.D. and active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of labor and employment law experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience counseling HR and business leaders on employee matters.
  • Experience supporting hourly workforces.
  • Strong judgment and business-oriented advice.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with teams.
  • Willingness to travel 1–2 times per month.

Responsibilities

We are an established, growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced employment attorney to join our in-house legal team. This attorney will work closely with HR and business leadership across a multi-state organization, providing practical advice on a broad range of workplace matters. This is a hands-on role with significant interaction across the business and an opportunity to advise on both day-to-day employment matters and broader workforce initiatives.

  • Strong judgment and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with legal, HR, and business teams.
  • Ability to travel periodically to company locations, likely 1–2 times per month.
Preferred Experience
  • In-house employment law experience.
  • Employment litigation and/or pre-litigation experience.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or other operationally intensive business.
