Job summary

New Horizons is seeking an Employment Consultant to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach personal career goals in Batesville, IN. You will coach, assist with applications and interviews, and coordinate transportation to and from work.

You will use strong communication and organizational skills to build positive relationships, manage time, and support on-site tasks. A valid driver's license and willingness to complete required training are essential.

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older.
• High School Diploma required; 4 years higher education preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Complete required training including First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach individual goals.
• Act as Career Coach to explore personal interests and career goals.
• Assist with applying and interviewing for jobs.
• Secure transportation to and from work.

Employment Consultant

New Horizons is looking for an Employment Consultant to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their individual goals. A Career Coach will work with the individual(s) with exploring personal interests to discover possible career goals, assisting with applying and interviewing, securing transportation to and from work, and assisting with on-site task completion.

A successful Employment Consultant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive relationship with the individual(s) they support. The Employment Consultant will need to utilize problem solving, time management, and organizational skills while working with the individual(s) they support.

Employment Consultants make a positive difference in the life of the individual(s) and the community.
